An Estherville man with Breckenridge, Colo., ties faces a pair of charges after he tried to outrun law enforcement agencies in two states Friday night, June 6.

Spirit Lake Police initially wanted to stop 21-year-old Samuel Jerome Origer Jr. after he drove past a stop sign just before 7 p.m. Friday. He pulled over for police, let a female passenger out of his Nissan, then fled eastbound on 36th Street at a high rate of speed.
