Letter to the Editor

What is Your Point of View?

A serial writer of "Letters to The Editor" continues to suffer with comments made by President Trump. I suspect the writer's annoyance has more to do with President Trump's policies than comments made months or years ago.

The negative thinking about President Trump is fueled by the national news media (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, AP, WP and NYP). This anti-Trump rhetoric originates with the national news media headquartered in the liberal centers of New York City and Washington, D.C. The Washington, D.C. area is populated by lobbyists who want to influence legislation and high wage federal workers who want to increase federal government control. It is clear the lobbyists prefer political candidates that need campaign contributions. President Trump is independent because he doesn't need their money.

The anti-Trump bias in Washington is easy to understand when you know 6 percent of the Washington, D.C. voters are Republicans. Add to this that the five richest counties in the United States are those surrounding Washington, DC. The high concentration of Democrats helps explain why Washington is against Trump.

The Dailey Caller poll reports that 92 percent of the national news coverage is negative about President Trump. Compare that with the national news coverage during President Obama's eight years that was only 20 percent negative. It is amazing that President Trump's holds a 42 percent Real Clear Politics favorability rating among registered voters. To test the negative Trump bias just watch MSNBC or CNN for a few minutes to determine their level of their negative bias.

Recent judicial events indicate we have two systems of justice. For two years, the Mueller Special Council of Democratic contributors have been looking at the 2016 election for Russian collusion. The best they have been able to come up with is process crimes that occurred before Donald Trump announced he would run for office.

If a Republican is involved particularly one associated with Donald Trump all that is needed is a simple perjury trap.

"Some FBI agents would like to come over and talk to you Oh, BTW, there is no need for you to have a lawyer present."

Liberals seem to be immune from prosecution. As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton destroyed thousands of government emails including ones with secret information. The Clinton Foundation took in millions from foreign governments. When the FBI questions Clinton aides, they are quickly given immunity from prosecution.

Want conformation of a two tier justice system? When Hillary was the Secretary of State or a presidential candidate, the Clinton Foundation received hundreds of millions of dollars from those seeking favor with the US government. When Hillary lost the election the money stopped. It seems obvious the Clinton Foundation donors were seeking favors from the U.S. government.

Democrats can't gain political support by stating their public positions since their ideas are unpopular. The Democrat response to Trump is to use emotional arguments that Trump is unbalanced, erratic and a racist. Democrats promote more governmental control, higher taxes, open borders and more social programs.
