No good news for Trump
In a recent Dickinson County News Letter to the Editor titled "Please Stay Away, Mr. President" the writer bemoans the fact President Trump went to Pittsburgh to pay his respects to the victims of the mass shooting. The first two paragraphs of the letter were dedicated to negative comments about President Trump making an appearance in Pittsburg. Of course the Pittsburg liberals did not want for President Trump to be seen doing anything good. The letter did not say anything about the standing ovation the President and First Lady Melania received at the hospital where the wounded were being treated.
President Trumps favorability rating is at 43 percent. This may seem low, but it is about the same as President George W. Bush and Barak Obama were at the same point in their presidency. What is amazing is that President Trump has any favorability at all considering the national news media (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, NYT and WP) coverage is 93 percent negative about President Trump. For the eight years of Obama presidency the national press could not say enough good things about Obama.
Instead of focusing on places President Trump visits, maybe we should pay attention to his accomplishments:
More Americans employed than ever recorded before in our history.
Manufacturing jobs growing at the fastest rate in more than three decades.
Median household income hit highest level ever recorded.
African-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded.
Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded.
Womens unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years.
Almost 3.9 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps
Initiated the largest package of tax cuts in history.
Record number of federal regulations eliminated.
Obamacare individual mandate penalty eliminated.

Signed VA Choice & Accountability Act, expanded VA telehealth services
U.S. oil production recently reached all-time high.
Withdrew the United States from the job-killing Paris Climate Accord.
NATO allies are spending $69 billion dollars more on defense.
Senate confirmed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
Withdrew from the poorly-negotiated, one-sided Iran deal.
Protected Americans from terrorists by travel ban, upheld by Supreme Court.
Concluded a historic U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal to replace NAFTA.
Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security.
Imposed tariffs on China in response to China's forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft and their chronically abusive trade practices.
Not all of President Trump's visits are reported with negative publicity. His election season rallies were greeted by thousands of cheering fans inside and outside of the rally venues. They were not happy days for defeated Senators McCaskel, Heitkamp, Donnelly and former Governor Bredesen.
