Arco extends thanks
Sept. 11 2001 taught us the value of the firemen in saving lives and buildings but no one can fully realize this until they experience it in their own lives.
Words cannot express our deep appreciation for the courageous volunteer firefighters who came to our rescue in the devastating fire at Arco Dehydrating. Because of their efforts, explosions were averted and much was saved. One cannot underestimate the value of these brave individuals and the support staff of the Lake Park rescue unit who fed and cared for them.
Thank you, thank you to the Lake Park, Harris, Spirit Lake, Milford, Arnolds Park and Ocheyedan firemen. A huge thank you also to the Dickinson County Sheriff and deputies, Lake Park Police Department, Dickinson County Emergency Management, Community businesses and people who provided food and drinks, Cohrs Construction and Neal Watje Construction for their excavation equipment, and to all the loyal employees who worked tirelessly through the long ordeal. We were so blessed to have you all come to our aid.
