AREA ATHLETES ANSWER THE CALL

Dickinson County high school athletes have been helping to fill and stack sandbags to help residents and municipalities deal with recent flooding. On Sunday, June 23, Okoboji football players filled and stacked sandbags to protect the pump house near Brown's Bay at the south end of West Okoboji. On Monday, June 24, Spirit Lake football players met in a lot south of Fareway in Spirit Lake to fill and load sandbags for local residents in need. (Photos by Matt Heinrichs)
