Cyclists celebrate Tatanka Ska trail head debut

A towering yellow crane lifted a stainless steel diner off the corner of Lake Street and Peoria Avenue in December of 2019, and yellow ribbon was cut on the same site Saturday to recognize the completion of the Tatanka Ska Trace trail head — the phrase meaning white buffalo in the Lakota Sioux language.

 


The shelter and rest area is one of the most visible additions along the Dickinson County Trail system.
