Pioneer seniors set out on new path Okoboji High School's class of 2021 marched into the south gymnasium two-by-two Sunday afternoon as they prepared to receive their diplomas. School staff noted the number of colored stoles and cords worn by the graduates in honor of their academic success, athletic accomplishment and community service. The graduates heard from 2012 alumnus Katie James, currently a public relations manager for the Iowa Soybean Association, who told them how she carried the lessons learned at Okoboji High School with her. She encouraged the class of 2021 to embrace change, saying the next morning would present them the opportunity to start from a blank slate be it emotionally, academically or personally and she encouraged them to follow their strengths, interests and passions in life while spreading good in the world.
