The jewelry sparkled. The rows of classic cars did, too. Throw in some sunny weather at the area's annual sidewalk chalk festival and visitors had plenty of options for weekend entertainment. On Saturday, Aug. 10, A Piece of Work, Inc. hosted the fourth annual ChalkStock, a one-day, family-oriented sidewalk chalk festival that brought music, people and art out of the gallery and onto the pavement. Just down the road, vendors from throughout the Midwest were on hand for the the third annual Okoboji Bead & Jewelry Splash in Spirit Lake. The 35th annual Old Iron Company Micro Mini Nationals began in Spencer and continued with a cruise to the Iowa Great Lakes on Saturday.
