After a tough week with the backlash from the Heartbeat Bill in Iowa, the governor is again in some hot water. One of her staffers is leaving to take a job at Apple after promoting the tech company's plans to add a facility in Waukee. From what I've read, there's nothing illegal about the move, provided Mr. Albrecht abstains from certain behaviors for a time. And the political process is known for always following procedures. Anyway, while the tech company may have selected an apple as its image because of its simplicity, it's also a symbol of temptation, and those two concepts came to a cross roads today. So it wasn't a far jump to this week's cartoon.
And yes, I prefer the rainbow striped logo of my youth over the sterile, glossy, steel-gray graphic that now stands in its place.
