For a brief moment, I considered creating a social media poll to see which of Bond's incarnations was most recognizable to the DCN's readers, but that would take time I don't necessarily have. There are other articles to write, there are press releases to proof and there's only so much time in a day. At any rate, I think my selection of Connery for the cartoon worked out well. I referenced his famous pose - substituting a voter registration card for his gun. I don't typically leave such large swaths of black in my panels but it seemed necessary in this case. It worked out well in the end and I think it adds to the overall texture in the frame. Of course the rush job meant this week's contribution was in black and white, rather than color. Total time: a little over two hours.
