What are your words saying about you?
Are you speaking life or death, prosperity or poverty, blessing or cursing?
You are what you speak.
Two friends went fishing one afternoon. Every time Charles cast out his line, he said “I take dominion over the bass of the lake." Lo and behold, he caught one bass after another. So his friend decided; well if it worked for Charles, it will work for me. So Happy said, “I take dominion over this lake” and threw out his line. Well, Happy caught something but it wasn’t a bass. It was a turtle. Why didn’t he get a bass? He spoke the same words as Charles, didn’t he? No, he spoke dominion over the whole lake.
Therefore when you speak, speak the words of what you want.
The book of Genesis speaks about how the Lord spoke everything in to place. Genesis 1: 1-2 says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." As you keep on reading Genesis, the earth was formed. Hallelujah.
In the past eight months, my son-in-law and also my son have had heart attacks. My son-in-law had two stents put in, and my son had a double bypass heart surgery. The families and friends spoke the word of God over them. They shall live and not die and declare the works of God. God is so good!
Hebrews 11:1 says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We may not be able to see what we want, but faith is the evidence of things not seen.
Several years ago, the forecast for Florida was a freeze warning in several low areas. Tom, being a born-again Christian, decided he had better put his faith into action for he had an abundant crop of peaches on his trees, just about ready to be harvested.
So he took his Bible and started going around his property. He said "you will live and not die. I am proclaiming the Word of the Lord over my crops. No weapon formed against me shall prosper for I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.” He kept this up all day, the more he spoke God’s Word, the bolder he got. His neighbors laughed at him, calling him a religious fantastic. Tom went to bed, knowing he had done what God had told him too. The next morning he went out to check his trees and not a one of them had been touched by the frost. He gave glory and praise to the Father. His neighbors crops were totally ruined.
So get into the word of God, start in speaking the word of God over your circumstances. Remember the word of God will never return void.
Thank you for allowing me to share with you today. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, now is the time. Go to Romans 10: 9-10 and invite Him in.
Remember, Jesus is lord all the time!
