The red-wing blackbird nibbles at the feeder
As the wind whips flags on the white docks.
Boats traverse across the lake as the
Wind excites wakes so skiers can jump them.
Sightseeing boats carry chairs filled with
Awestruck dreamers of what might be.
The lake's waves waft upon the sand shores
Lulling owners back to their afternoon naps.
Despite all its exterior excitement, the
Water accepts all boaters' frustration
And skiersí swearing and tears from lovers.
Folding these emotions under, the water
Never tells and always wants to play.
Oh, the magic of the Lake!
