Spirit Lake homecoming

Tuesday, September 17, 2019

My name is Kacey Krieger, and I am a part of Spirit Lake High School's Student Council. I am reaching out in hope of informing the community about our 2019 homecoming events!

This year our homecoming week is Monday, Sept. 30 through Friday, Oct. 4. Our theme is "Home Sweet Homecoming."

• To start off the week on Monday, it's "Home of the Brave Day" (USA / red, white & blue). That night we will be continuing a newer tradition which is the bonfire and bus pull.

• Tuesday is "Home Run Day" (Jersey / Sports attire). That night the volleyball team has a home game against Cherokee. Following the home volleyball game will be Powder Puff volleyball (open to the community to watch).

• On Wednesday, it is "Home for the Holidays" (holiday attire). That night we will announce our homecoming court,  flower girl, scepter bearer and grand marshal at coordination (open to the community).

• Thursday is "Homies" day (find a friend and coordinate outfits). That evening there is another home volleyball game against Worthington.

• And finally, Friday is "No Place Like Home" (school colors). Friday's events include the parade, which will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the home football game against Southeast Valley starting at 7 p.m.

Regarding our parade, any commercial entry may participate in the parade as long as they contact me — Kacey Krieger — at 21KKrieger@spirit-lake.k12.ia.us before Wednesday, Sept. 25.

We appreciate your help in making our homecoming a great one! If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!

Sincerely,

Kacey Krieger
