Blood drive results

Tuesday, September 17, 2019

For over 15 years, Spirit Lake and surrounding communities have been supporting the local blood bank, LifeServe Blood Center, at the community blood drives coordinated by John Guthrie. The blood drive was held Tuesday, Sept. 10, to help the blood center keep units on hand for hospital patients across the tri-state area. Several donors showed their support for saving local lives by donating blood. LifeServe Blood Center was able to collect 35 units of blood saving up to 105 local lives. We also celebrate the following donors on their milestone donations: Jess Radcliff (2 gallons) and Mary DeBoer (7 gallons).

The next community blood drive will be 1-5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Dickinson County Community Building. Thanks to all who supported this drive. Spirit Lake's blood collection is increasing, making waves in preventing local blood shortages, and we're overwhelmed to have a part in it! We look forward to seeing you next time!

Thank you for recognizing our donors,
