Yesterdays Restaurant changes hands
Duane, Marilyn, and Amy Zahradnik on Tuesday announced a change of ownership for Yesterdays Restaurant located at 131 West Broadway Street in Arnolds Park. Jennifer Phelps Ferrell will acquire the property this spring with Ferrell taking the helm for the 2019 season.
Yesterdays opened in 1986 and throughout the course of 33 years has expanded to include multiple dining rooms, a Japanese Style Teppanyaki room and a successful catering business with custom menus for clients throughout the Iowa Great Lakes Area.
Ferrell is thrilled to be back in the Lakes Region, continuing the Yesterdays legacy. She brings 20 years of restaurant and catering experience with her and looks forward to staying true to the restaurantís roots. Patrons can expect the same, wonderful dining experience and high-quality catering that Yesterdays has always provided. With much of the staff returning, and with the help of Duane Zahradnik, a smooth transition is planned ahead for the upcoming vacation season.
Yesterdays intends to open for the season mid-May, serving dinner seven nights a week. Duane Zahradnik will remain on board to manage catering operations and all contracts will be honored and executed in the same professional and high-quality fashion clients have trusted for years.
Gift certificates purchased last season will be honored for the 2019 season, provided the dates are valid. Yesterdays is currently hiring and applications can be completed online at yesterdaysokoboji.com.
The Zahradniks thanked staff members and customers for their loyalty and friendship over the years. They extend warm congratulations to Ferrell and wish her success in her new venture.
