Farewell from Trooper Vince

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

It is with mixed emotion I write informing you that I have accepted a promotion to the rank of sergeant. This promotion will be located in our Spencer office, within ISP enforcement operations.

As I look back over 14 years in the educational/public relations side of law enforcement, I am reminded of several great programs we developed: "Ask a Trooper," "The Patrol Post," "Windshield Time," as well as many live radio programs. The common denominator in all of these has been your support of our traffic safety message. I am beyond grateful to all of you for this support.

This promotion will be effective Friday, Nov. 30. Conversations have already started on a replacement for my position. At this point, we would anticipate having a new Public Resource Officer in place sometime by late January or early February. In the interim, I will continue to field requests for information and provide educational programs as my schedule allows. I would ask for your patience and understanding as I will be filling two roles during this time.

Once again, I am so thankful for the support you have given me and our organization over the last 14 years. We look forward to continuing this relationship.

Thank you.

Trooper Vince Kurtz
