Indians dominate Spencer in Lakes Conference clash

Spirit Lake made quick work of Lakes Conference rival Spencer on Tuesday night.

The Indians topped the Tigers in straight sets, winning 25-8, 25-15 and 25-12 in Spencer.

Junior Emma Loveall led the charge with 10 kills, six digs, two blocks and an ace.

Senior Mikia Kriener and junior Jordyn Hamm had eight kills each.

Kriener tacked on five digs, a block and two aces. Hamm had three blocks and two aces.

Junior Emma Jenness dished out 28 assists. She also had four digs, two kills and an ace.

Senior Payton Ahrenstorff picked up 18 digs. She also had three assists and was 20-22 serving with six aces.

Freshman Brooke Smith had three kills and a block. Fellow frosh Tori Zemler had a kill and two blocks.

Senior Cameron Quance had eight digs and was 14-15 serving with five aces.

The Indians (17-4, 1-0) will return to action Thursday, Sept. 13 at home against North Union (3-13, 1-3) and Tuesday, Sept. 18. at home against fifth-ranked (2A) Western Christian (11-2).
