A message from the Girl Scouts

Tuesday, June 12, 2018

Every day is a different kind of exciting at Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, but we couldn’t keep that excitement going year after year without support from dedicated community organizations like the Good Neighbor Fund of Okoboji and Spirit Lake and the people of Dickinson County who donate time and money to funding Good Neighbor agencies.

Thanks to support from this wonderful organization, girls in Dickinson County learn to be G.I.R.L.s (Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-Takers, Leaders) by accomplishing something new and challenging together. Girl Scouts shows girls that they can be whatever they want to be, and they have what it takes to change the world.

Girl Scouts began over 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Today, we are proud to be part of a national Girl Scout movement, dedicated to continuing her vision of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Every day we are amazed by the innovative, brave, determined and passionate girls in Girl Scouts. Every day we are privileged to work with our amazing adult volunteers. And every day we are appreciative of partners like the Good Neighbor Fund of Spirit Lake and Okoboji, who make our mission possible.

With sincere gratitude and appreciation,
