Former Harris-Lake Park and current Minnesota West basketball player Katherin Ihnen was recently named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.

It is one of several accolades the sophomore collected this past season.

Ihnen was named First Team All-Southern Division after becoming the fifth player in program history to score more than 1,000 career points. Her 1,064 career points are the fourth most in program history. She finished this past season with 626 points.

Ihnen broke the career and single-season rebounding records this season. With 379 rebounds on the year she pushed her career total to 653, passing Clara Rohlik's old records of 369 and 583, respectively.

Ihnen also set the single game scoring record in a game against Vermillion College, scoring 48 points to surpass the previous record of 46 set by Lori Arp.

Ihnen was named MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week three times and was the Division III National Player of the Week once.
