Craig Barker signs with NAIA Southeastern University

Iowa Lakes Community College soccer standout Craig Barker has signed a national letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Southeastern University.

Throughout his two years at Iowa Lakes, Barker registered 13 goals and 16 assists. Barker capped 12 starts appearing in 15 games throughout his sophomore season at Iowa Lakes Community College. In his sophomore campaign, Barker led the team in goals with eight and came second in assists with eight. Barker had one goal and one assist in the Lakers' 4-2 win against the number 11th-ranked Marshalltown Tigers during the regular season.

In addition, Barker was presented with an Honorable Mention award at the end of the 2017-18 regular season, as well as making the Academic Second Team All-Region.

Southeastern University are a part of the NAIA Division. Barker plans to seek a degree in Business Management.

I have really enjoyed my time here at Iowa Lakes, I have met some amazing people who I will never forget," Barker said. "We had our ups and downs throughout my two seasons but in the end we always realized if we believed in each other we really can beat anyone.
