Seasons Center for Behavioral Health has received a van from Variety — the Children’s Charity to transport children and staff to and from Camp Autumn during summer camp sessions and throughout the year for respite care, specialized individual and group therapy, skill building groups and other events. Camp Autumn is a space that is sensitive to the health and healing needs of children and families accessing behavioral health services through Seasons and Autumn’s Center.

Seasons is a non-profit organization and has been providing a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health services to people and communities in northwest Iowa since 1959. Seasons strives to provide exceptional care to children, families, and adults through skilled, dedicated and passionate employees who use evidence-based treatment practices and innovative treatment techniques.

The Variety van will be used daily to transport children to Camp Autumn during the summer months, as well as between other Seasons office locations, to and from special community outings and events in the region and to specialized appointments with other health professionals in the area.

"Through the gift of a Variety van, we will be able to better serve the over 2,000 children annually in our care," Kim Scorza, CEO/President of Seasons Center said. "Transportation in a rural area can pose different types of challenges but, with this beautiful new van, our children’s behavioral health needs can be better met with one less obstacle in their way. Thank you is simply not enough to say for this gift."
