Still time to help
Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Dickinson County Endowment Fund, the Lakes Area Extrication and Rescue Unit is closer to its goal of $170,000 to upgrade the extrication equipment. We also appreciate those in the Lakes Region who have supported us so far.
Since 1976, the unit has provided invaluable life-saving assistance to the citizens of the Iowa Great Lakes Area and beyond. In 41 years, there has been only one upgrade. The new equipment is needed to cut through the ultra-high strength materials being used in newer cars.
If you have not already done so, please send your contribution to Lakes Area Extrication and Rescue Unit, PO Box 477, Milford, IA 51351. Help us maintain the high standards of emergency response you have come to expect. We are grateful to live in a community that cares. Thank You!
Yours in good health,
Representing the Lakes Area Extrication and Rescue Unit
