Disagreeing with past letters
This is an open letter to one Robert Sneitzer [whose past letters have appeared in this publication]:
The following excerpt is from the independent, non-partisan fact checking group "Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity" published on the "Consortium News" website dated Aug. 7, 2017. It shows quite clearly that the claims against Russia for hacking the DNC are nothing but a propaganda ploy that the anti-Trump fake news media has picked up and repeated ad nauseam:
"Forensic studies of Russian hacking into DNC computers last year reveal that on July 5, 2016, data was leaked (not hacked as Sneitzer and his minions would have us all believe) by a person with physical access to DNC computers and then doctored to incriminate Russia.
After examining meta data from the guccifer 2.0 July 5, 2016, intrusion into the DNC server, independent cyber investigators concluded that an “insider” copied DNC data onto an external storage device, and that the telltale signs implicating Russia were inserted.
“Key among the findings is the conclusion that the DNC data was copied onto a storage device at a speed that far exceeds an internet capability for a remote hack.”
“Of equal importance, the forensics show that the copying and doctoring were performed on the East Coast of the U.S.”
Strangely, thus far the fake news mainstream medias have ignored these findings. I wonder why?
Can you say hypocrisy?
