A chance to help

Tuesday, September 13, 2016

The Okoboji Key Club is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Okoboji Backpack program. The backpack program provides food for families in our district. Volunteers meet each week during the school year to pack bags full of food to insure students in need have enough food to get through the weekend. Currently supplies are low so we are asking for your help. The list below contains the recommended items for donation.

The food drive will run through Sept. 16. We have set a goal of 600 food items for each building (although more would be better). If the students exceed this goal, Key Club will provide ice cream treats for each building on Sept. 19. Middle school students can drop off their donations at the middle school office, while high school students can bring their items to the media center.

We thank you in advance for helping make this a successful project.
