Tuesday, August 4, 2015

Spirit Lake Community School registration for students in grades Preschool -12 will be held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, in the high school commons.

New families to the district are asked to contact the office manager of their respective buildings as soon as possible.

In an effort to streamline the registration process, parents may access the school website register link www.spirit-lake.k12.ia.us prior to registration day to download the registration checklist along with required forms that may be completed and printed off to bring on Aug. 14.

Class schedules, room assignments and bus information will be distributed registration day. Student fees will also be collected. Returning families may deposit into their school lunch account via e-check through Infinite Campus. Credit cards will not be accepted. It is necessary to register preschool, TK & kindergarten students even if you have attended a prior open house or roundup. Parents are reminded to provide immunization forms, health forms and birth certificate if they haven't already done so.

Every high school student who drives to school is required to register their vehicle(s) with the office. On registration day, parents must provide the make, model, color and license plate number for every vehicle the student may drive during the year.

Reminder -- all athletic physicals and concussion forms (7-12) are due to the respective offices before the sport's practice officially begins. Participants may bring any completed forms to registration. Forms are available on the school's website under Register.

Life Touch Photography is the school picture photographer for the district and they will be set up Aug. 14 to take pictures of grade 5-11 students. All students are required to have a photo taken for school purposes. Purchase is optional. Students are reminded to come dressed appropriately and plan to have a check payable to Life Touch Photography available to make an order if desired. Package options will be available that day. Only retakes will be scheduled after school begins.
