Titans run at Alta-Aurelia
The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire boys track team had another solid showing on Tuesday, April 28, as the Titans competed at a meet hosted by Alta-Aurelia.
Michael and Marcus Girres earned the top placings for the Titans, as Michael placed second in the 100-meter dash in 11.58 seconds and Marcus placed second in the 200-meter dash in 23.55.
"We ran very well against some solid competition," GT/RA coach David Peterson said. "We were led by the Marcus and Michael Girres. Our times continue to show some improvement so we are still moving in the right direction as we approach conference and state qualifying."
Both Girres boys joined Nate Larson and Kolton Roth in a third-place time of 47.44 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay. Eric Sundall placed third in the 3200-meter run in 11 minutes, 14 seconds, and Jacob Conlon placed third in the 800-meter run in 2:11.
Zach Lieb placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles. Conlon placed fifth in the 400-meter dash. Michael Girres placed fifth in the 200-meter dash. The 4x800 and 4x400-meter relay teams both placed third for the Titans.
