Peschon named GPAC Player of the Week
Former Spirit Lake athlete and current Northwestern College baseball player Mitch Peschon was named the GPAC Player of the Week for his effort in Northwestern's seven games last week.
Peschon earned the award after hitting .524 while starting in all seven games this week. Peschon had 11 hits in 21 at bats, scored eight runs, hit three home runs and had four stolen bases. He also had an outfield assist and got on base at a .630 clip. For the season, Peschon is hitting .355 with 25 runs scored, five doubles, two triples, 29 RBIs, 15 stolen bases, and a GPAC best nine home runs.
