May's blood drive
On behalf of the American Red Cross, we would like to thank each and every one who donated at our blood drive in May in Dickinson County. Because ordinary people like you do extraordinary things when donating blood, your generosity lives on in the lives of patients who benefit from the gift of blood donations.
We would also like to thank everyone for their continued support throughout the year. There were three special people who were at the blood drive for the very first time, namely Roberta Bergquist, Paula Tietz and Daniel Betz.
We hope this was a very satisfying experience and will return in the future. Another special person was Leonard Heerdt of Milford who earned his 9 gallon pin. Congratulations to all!
Success doesn't come with just a few people, but many. To all the volunteers involved in making each and every blood drive so successful, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude. Grace Lutheran provides a place and the Kiwanis group provides the manpower to help the Red Cross workers set up all the equipment and then come back and load up at the end of the drive.
We are also so appreciative of all the greeters and canteen workers who help make the day run so smoothly. Our next date for the Red Cross Blood Drive returning to Dickinson County is Aug. 7-8 respectively in Milford and Spirit Lake. Please join us.
If there is anyone out there that would like to volunteer in this worthwhile cause please feel free to give any one of us a call and we would be happy to visit with you.
