Holiday Fantasy thanks
Holiday Fantasy is over for another year and I would like to thank both the businesses who donated soup and/or chili and those who donated prizes for the annual raffle. I would also like to thank all of the Milford Commercial Club members who donated their time either prior to, during, or after the event and both the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts for helping with the decorations, setting up, and cleaning up the room. It takes hours of preparation from many individuals to be able to spend a few hours having soup and drawing raffle prizes. Although we've discovered a few glitches, on the whole I think the event went very well.
For those of you who either purchased raffle tickets and/or joined us for soup/chili on Saturday, I would like to thank you too. All of our time spent planning and organizing would have been in vain had we not sold any raffle tickets or served any soup. There were many different events that you could have chosen to attend on Saturday, so I would like to thank you for spending part of your day with us.
In case you don't know, the Milford Commercial Club members that helped in some way with Holiday Fantasy are all volunteers. Most of them have full-time jobs and families demanding their time too. They volunteer because they want to showcase Milford's business community and also to thank the people who shop with them. Please understand that any errors that might have been made were certainly unintentional. We are all neighbors and friends.
Continue to shop locally and support each other.
