Is war a necessary evil?

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

War puts people to work, gets the money flowing. There is a demand for the products of war. War pulled us out of the Great Depression. Young men were called from WPA jobs, put uniforms on and got paid a better salary.

The senators on both sides of the aisle have spent 3 trillion dollars on present wars. Our national debt is 3 trillion dollars.

Bailing out the bankers on Wall Street is not a real issue. How can we bail ourselves out of war? A whole new attitude of morality is needed. We need a cabinet level Department of Peaces. Programs such as VISTA and Peace Corps are valuable and show the real American to the world.
