Christopher Puckett, 30, of Blackhawk, Minn., was charged with OWI at 9:19 p.m. July 19.

Elizabeth Loring, 20, of Gillett Grove, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fifth-degree theft at 10:49 a.m. July 20.

Jose Perales, 41, with no known address, was charged with public intoxication at 8:59 p.m. July 22.

Alec Geinitz, 26, of Spirit Lake, was charged with driving under suspension, a broken taillight and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:24 p.m. July 23.

Robert Crozier, 41, of Spirit Lake, was charged with assault, a serious misdemeanor, at 4:50 a.m. July 24.

Scott Yanke, 32, of Spirit Lake, was charged with disorderly conduct at 4:50 a.m. July 24.

Shawn Wendell, 35, with no known address, was charged with public intoxication at 9 p.m. July 24.

Earnest Harding III, 26, of Spirit Lake, was charged with domestic abuse, willful injury and obstruction of emergency communication at 6:12 a.m. July 25.

Dillon Ford, 19, of Spirit Lake, was charged with disorderly conduct at 12:08 a.m. July 26.

Shandon Wolf, 17, of Okoboji, was charged with disorderly conduct at 12:08 a.m. July 26.

Jessica Mattheson, 20, of Spirit Lake, was charged with disorderly conduct at 6 p.m. July 26.

Alan Poyzer, 52, of Dolliver, was charged with trespass at 6 p.m. July 28.

Connie Jensen, 47, of Dolliver, was charged with trespass at 6 p.m. July 28.

Robert Crozer, 41, of Spirit Lake, was charged with operating without a driver's license, and no insurance at 2:02 p.m. July 31.

Cindy Wisecup, 39, of Spirit Lake, was charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive at 2:02 p.m. July 31.

Amy Durbin, 24, of Welcome, Minn., was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:30 a.m. July 31.

Owen Ganinghouse, 26, of Welcome, Minn., was charged with disorderly conduct at 12:30 a.m. July 31.

Tyler Schechinger, 23, of Manilla, was charged with OWI and speeding at 2:22 a.m. July 31.

Adam Nielson, 20, of Milford, was charged with possession of alcohol at 3 a.m. Aug. 1.

Alexander Bogue, 20, of Spirit Lake, was charged with possession of alcohol at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1.

Brandon Schirrmacher, 19, of Spirit Lake, was charged with possession of alcohol at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1.

Melinda Lindell, 43, of Spirit Lake, was charged with public intoxication and trespassing at 2:50 a.m. Aug. 4.

Charles Hughes, 49, of Spirit Lake was arrested on a warrant and charged with third-degree theft at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 4.

Genaro Reynosa, 23, of Terril, was arrested on a warrant at noon, Aug. 6.

Kory Long, 24, of Spirit Lake, was charged with driving under suspension and failure to maintain control at 5 p.m. Aug. 6.

William, Moorman, 59, of Spirit Lake, was charged with an OWI and no valid driver's license at 1:17 a.m. Aug. 7.

Robert Edwards, 59, of Spirit Lake, was charged with driving under suspension at 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 7.

Jenny Clausen, 28, of Milford, was charged with public intoxication on 7:22 p.m. Aug. 8.

Domestic abuse, drug charges face Winters after Arnolds Park arrest

Ryan Winters, 24, of Spirit Lake faces drug charges from the Dickinson County Sherrif's Office after being booked into the jail from an arrest in Arnolds Park. Arnolds Park had arrrested Winters and charged him with domestic abuse assault, interference with official acts, and public intoxication. Winters was found to be in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana, inside a jail cell. DCSO charged Winters with: possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of contraband (introducing controlled substance into a correctional facility), a Class D felony.

Adult probation assist results in drug charges against two SL residents

On Monday, August 16, 2010 at approximately 5:35 p.m., the Spirit Lake Police Department was dispatched to 2408 25th Street #24 in Spirit Lake to assist Iowa Adult Probation. Upon arrival, it was determined by officers that illegal drugs were being used at the residence. A search of the residence was conducted and drug paraphernalia along with growing marijuana was discovered. Mitchell D. Nordin, 23, of Spirit Lake and Barry K. Selland, 37, of Spirit Lake were both arrested and taken to the Dickinson County Jail for booking.

Mitchell Nordin was charged with the following: manufacturing of controlled substance-marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class "D" felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Barry Selland was charged with the following:posession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted on scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office.

August 15 traffic stop leads to drug, OWI charges

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office arrested Rassany A Keosongseng, 31, of Sutherland for an OWI on August 15. Keosongseng was stopped near the AmericInn in Okoboji. Keosongseng was found to be in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Dickinson County Jail. Keosongseng is charged with: ppossession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, OWI, speeding, and no insurance. DCSO thanks the Okoboji and Spirit Lake Police Departments for their assistance on scene.

Early evening call results in trespassing charges

The Dickinson County Sheriffs office arrested Kenneth R Hample, 52, of Jackson, Minn., on August 10, 2010 after receiving a suspicious person complaint in the 1000 block of Highway 86 at approximately 5:19 p.m. Sheriff's Deputies responded and found Hample trespassing at a building site.

Deputies arrested Hample and booked him into the Dickinson County Jail.

Hample is charged with: Attempted burglary (third degree), possession of burglar's tools, carrying weapons, theft (fifth degree) and trespassing.

It should be noted that criminal charges are merely an accusation and all suspects are innocent unless and until proven guilty.
