Dean Charles Heide

Dean Charles Heide, age 62, of Spirit Lake, passed away, Sunday, July 11, 2010, at his home in Spirit Lake. He was born on December 28, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to William and Hannah (Aljets) Heide.

Dean worked at Citation Homes in Spirit Lake, Hansco Manufacturing in Pomeroy, and Iowa Hydraulics in Pocahontas, before retiring to Spirit Lake in 2003. He enjoyed spending his spare time hunting, fishing, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, the Minnesota Twins and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Dean always enjoyed his precious time he spent with his two grandsons, Isaac and Aiden.

Dean is survived by his son, Scott Heide, and his wife, Stephanie, of Spirit Lake; two grandsons, Isaac and Aiden Heide of Spirit Lake; a brother, Paul Heide, and his wife, Deloris, of Spirit Lake; two sisters, Geri Foster, and her husband, Gary, of Fort Dodge, and Charlene Everson, and her husband, Don, of Fort Dodge; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Thomas Lee Foster; and a niece, Anita Heide Siemers.

A funeral service was held Thursday, July 15, at the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake. Burial was at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Dean's name.
