Cousins celebrate first birthdays

Bryan and Joanie Bailey of Wahpeton returned recently from trips to Asheville, N.C., and Eagan, Minn. to help celebrate the first birthdays of their grandchildren, Makayla and Colin. Makayla Rayne Bailey was born April 9, 2009, in Winston-Salem, N.C. to Jonathan and Angela Bailey. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 22 inches long at birth. Makayla's first cousin, Colin Bryan Bailey, was born nine days later on April 18, 2009 in St. Paul, Minn. to Chad and Jennifer Bailey of Eagan. Colin weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long at birth. Makayla was welcomed by big brother, Ethan, now age 3, and Colin was welcomed by big sister, Ella, now age 4. Makayla and Colin first met last summer when their families traveled to Lake Okoboji for a 4th of July visit.
