Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer for Jacob "Jake" KI Ralph, 28, of Wahpeton. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.

The Rev. Chuck Kellogg officiated services.

Jacob "Jake" KI Ralph, the son of John and Sarah Larson Ralph, was born June 6, 1981, in Seoul, South Korea. John and Sarah adopted Jake in May of 1982. They lived in Spencer until 1991 when they moved to Wahpeton.

Jake graduated from the Okoboji High School in 2000. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College where he graduated from the Hotel and Restaurant Management program in 2003.

Jake was working at the Spirit Lake and Spencer Burger King as a shift manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking for others, bowling, golfing and watching most any sport. His greatest love was his family and friends, especially his nephews.

Recently, Jake suffered from an irreversible kidney disease and was undergoing dialysis while waiting to be on the transplant list.

Jake passed away on February 23, 2010 as a result of a car accident at the age of 28. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Margaret and LeRoy Ralph and Winton and Maxine Larson, and an uncle, Harry Eldridge.

He is survived by his parents, John and Sarah Ralph of Wahpeton; his sister and her husband, Kayla and Brandon Wilcoxon of Milford; his three nephews, Lincoln, Jackson and Ethan; his aunts and uncles: Robert and Roxy Larson of Arnolds Park, Mari Lu Larson of Spencer, Nancy Eldridge of Sparta, Wisc., James and Pam Ralph of St. Paul, Minn.; several cousins and many friends.

Pallbearers were Brandon Wilcoxon, Adam Kraninger, Justin Letcher, Dustin Quinn, Kyle Clark and Ben Decker.
