Traffic stop leads to SL drug arrest

A routine traffice stop at approximately 7:22 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 led to the arrest of 29 year-old David Nathaniel Moore of Spirit Lake. Moore was driving a gray 2003 buick Rendezvous that authorities searched with a K9 unit, turning up a green leafy subnstance alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphanelia. Moore was arrested and booked into the Dickinson County Jail on the following charges; possession of a controlled substance, marijuna, third offense, an aggravated misdemeanor; failure to obey stop sign, a simple misdemeanor; failure to obey stop sign, a simple misdemeanor; operation without insurance, a simple misdemeanor.

Criminal charges are merely an accusation and the defendent is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
