Mary K. Allen

Mary K. Allen passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at her home after battling ovarian cancer since April of 2006.

Born to Kenneth and Charlotte (Zerfoss) Thomson in Estherville, on April 2, 1950, she graduated from Superior High School and then attended college for a couple years.

Mary lived in Superior, Ames and Waterloo in Iowa; Grand Forks, N.D., Midland, Mich., Omaha, Neb. and Alpharetta, Ga., before moving to Spirit Lake in 2005 to live closer to her mother.

She is survived by her son, Kenny Wee of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters and their families, Heather Houchins (Brad Houchins) and their daughter, Samantha, all of Palm Bay, Fla., and Tiffani Wee (J.C. Casto) and their son, Carrick all of Omaha, Neb.

Survivors also include her mother, Charlotte M. Thomson of Spirit Lake and three sisters, Janet Baker of Tampa, Fla., Dorothy Worthington of Minnetonka, Minn., and Ruth Petersen of Spirit Lake.

She was preceded in death by father, Kenneth E. Thomson, grandparents, Judd & Flosse Zerfoss and William & Pearl Thomson.
