Local support makes 'Santa to a Senior' possible

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making this year's "Be a Santa to a Senior" project another successful one.

Area merchants Lewis Family Drug, and HyVee in Spirit Lake and JCPenney in Spencer were once again wonderful in promoting the program and their staff was quick to help whenever needed. Local newspapers including The Lakes News Shopper, Dickinson County News and Spencer Daily Reporter proved instrumental in spreading the word about this program.

Additionally, two groups made significant donations to the project: Pure Fishing Spooling and Extrusion team in Spirit Lake and Northwest Equipment Incorporated/John Deere in Spencer. Their kind gestures as well as support from the countless community members ensured that each participating senior received a gift this holiday season. We would like to give a big thanks to Karen Severson for helping the Home Instead Senior Care staff deliver over 130 gifts to 61 seniors throughout Dickinson and Clay counties. Our community's tremendous generosity brought many smiles to seniors this holiday season. How fortunate we are to live in a place with so many caring individuals. Thank you again.
