Cristian Hoover-Hernandez

Jennifer Hoover and Jay Hernandez of Estherville are the proud parents of Cristian, Dickinson County's New Year's Baby. Cristian was born at Lakes Regional Healthcare (LRH) on January 3 at 6:49 pm weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and 20.75 inches in length. Cristian was also welcomed by his sisters, 2-year-old Aubri and 1-year-old Kiera.

Upon learning she had the New Year's baby, Jennifer said, "I was shocked to find out he was the New Year's Baby since he was born on the third."

LRH gave the family a gift basket of various items, including a silver cup, blankets, clothes, bath items, picture frame, rattle, diapers, and wipes. LRH Volunteers gave the family a stuffed bear and a book. Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative gave the family a blanket, baby bib, stuffed animal, and cooler. Blue Water Prairie Landscape and Design gave the family a tree and the planting of the tree.
