Learn to deal with holiday grief

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

On Thursday, Nov. 19, Iowa Hospice will offer its annual Holiday Grief Workshop. This is a chance for members of the community to learn about ways to better cope with grief issues during the upcoming holiday season and beyond.

As November is National Hospice Month, this workshop is a timely opportunity for individuals and families to assess where they are in the grief process following the loss of a loved one, and how they will choose to observe such holidays as Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Perhaps this is the year for considering new traditions and ways to go beyond "getting through" these often difficult times.

Iowa Hospice is located at 1370 Lake St. in Spirit Lake. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. for the Holiday Grief Workshop. Refreshments will be available, and the program will conclude at approximately 8 p.m. Reservations are not necessary, but a phone call to the office (712) 336-2941 would be appreciated.
