Selzer, Newcomb wed May 9

Brent and Vanessa Newcomb were married on May 9, 2009, at Bethany Lutheran Church Pastor Scott Meier officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the Clay County Regional Event Center in Spencer.

The bride is the daughter of Greg and Barb Grover of Spencer. The groom is the son of Brent and Nancy Newcomb of Spirit Lake.

Matron of Honor was Chelsie Vanderweide, friend of the couple. Best man was Josh Vanderweide, friend of the couple.

Bridesmaids were Kaitlynn Newcomb, Angie Lawson, Kori Lux, Jennie Yeager and Jessica Campbell. Flowergirls were Ashlyn Yeager and Kaitlynn Lawson. Groomsmen were Luke Dodge, Casey Lawson, Dave Lux, Jesse Yeager, Brady Newcomb. Ringbears were Caleb Vanderweide and Kale Dodge. Ushers were Andrew Selzer and Travis Campbell.

The couple resides in Spencer. Brent is a Service Technician and Vanessa is a Registered Nurse.

A honeymoon to Florida is planned for October.
