Funeral services were held July 30 at the First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji for Bernice Eichman, 90, who passed away July 27 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake.

Rev. Tim Nappe officiated. Interment was at Little Sioux Lutheran Cemetery in Milford.

T. Bernice Eichman was born June 20, 1919 at her home in Old Town Milford, the daughter of Halver Knudson and Sarah Ellen "Sadie May" Nattress. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Arnolds Park High School.

She was united in marriage to John Frederic Eichman on Sept. 22, 1939. The couple made their home in rural Milford, where they raised their family.

Bernice was first a member at Little Sioux Lutheran Church, and later, at First Lutheran Church in Milford and West Okoboji, where she was active in women's groups. Bernice's passion and main enjoyment in life was her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Mildred "Mudd" Wilson; son, Jack Eichman and his wife Cheryl; daughter, Sherry Crystal and her husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Brent Eichman and his wife Heidi, Jacquline Connolly and her husband, Bernard, Karess Knudtson and her husband Cory, and Sara Myers and her husband Tige; nine great-grandchildren and a loving crew of nieces, nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, two sisters, a brother and a great grandson.

Turner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
