Arnolds Park crash sends one to hospital

A one-vehicle crash sent a Kingsley man to the hospital shortly before midnight on Saturday. The driver, Scott Toliver, lost control of his truck at the the intersection of Rohr Street and Oak Street, Toliver hit two trees and took down a light pole. He was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries. The Arnolds Park /Okoboji Rescue Department was assisted by the Iowa Highway Patrol, AP/Oko police, Milford Police, Milford Fire and Rescue, DNR, and the LRH Ambulance.


Moreno, Theesfeld arrested for drugs

The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office arrested several individuals for possession of controlled substances and alcohol on June 13. A traffic stop was made on a Chrysler Sebring in the 1000 block of Highway 86 at 11:38 p.m. Deputies located substances believed to be cocaine and marijuana.

Officers arrested Jose Luis Munoz Moreno, 19, of Estherville and charged him with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers also arrested was Nathan Theesfeld, 21, of Estherville and charged him with possession of cocaine and driving without headlamps.

Moreno and Theesfeld were booked in to the Dickinson County Jail.

Four juveniles were cited with possession of cocaine and alcohol and released to their parents.

Spirit Lake arrests:

- Brandon B. Buchholz, 32, of Terril was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication at 1:50 a.m. June 24.

- Donald Allen Eisenbacher, 31, of Spirit Lake was arrested for domestic assault second at 2:45 a.m. June 24.

- Paul Thomas Loken, 19, of Spirit Lake was arrested for driving while barred at 3:54 p.m. June 26.

- Jimmy Gene McNab, 28, of Brewster, Minn. was arrested for urinating in public at 7:15 p.m. June 28.

- Allen W. Petersen, 52, of Omaha, Neb. was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct at 1 a.m. June 29.
