Sirens 6/24

On Friday, June 19 at approximately 3:03 a.m., Spirit Lake Police were called to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Ithaca Avenue. Officers received a complaint of a male subject walking in the street yelling. Upon arrival, officers met with 38-year-old Jeremy Jay Smith of Brooklyn Park, Minn. It was determined that Smith was intoxicated and placed under arrest. A subsequent search of Smith's person turned up a small amount of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and a small glass pipe. Smith was transported to the Dickinson County Jail to appear before a judge.

Smith was booked on the following charges: possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia - a simple misdemeanor; and public intoxication - a simple misdemeanor.

Spirit Lake arrests:

* Hayley Marie Tunistra, 20, of Spirit Lake was arrested for aiding and abetting, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping a disorderly house at 11:28 p.m. June 10.

* Chad E. Janzen, 22, of Spirit Lake was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at 12:48 a.m. June 11.

* Margaret Ruth Waltz, 44, of Spirit Lake was arrested on a warrant for 2nd degree theft at 10:45 a.m. June 11.

* Steven James Husaboe, 22, of Spirit Lake was arrested for theft at 7:47 p.m. June 12.

* Jesse Michael Stanke, 28, of Mankato, Minn. was arrested for OWI - 2nd offense, open container - driver, no insurance, co drivers license and operation without registration at 2:31 a.m. June 14.

* Drew Nielsen, 44, of Spirit Lake was arrested for a loudspeaker device at 4:40 a.m. June 14.

* Jennifer Lynn Marx, 26, of Jackson, Minn. was arrested on a warrant at 3:35 p.m. June 17.

* Jeremy Jay Smith, 38, of Brooklyn Park, Minn. was arrested for possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication at 3:03 a.m. June 19.

* Amanda Jo Norris, 22, of Spirit Lake was arrested for public intoxication at 8:45 p.m. June 20.

* Christopher Emerick Huber, 38, of Fargo, N.D. was arrested for public intoxication, interference with official acts and disarming a peace officer at 3 a.m. June 21.

* Dustin Lee Martin, 21, of Spirit Lake was arrested for serious assault and trespassing at 3:29 a.m. June 22.
