Commencement ceremonies planned May 17, 24

Nearly 250 Dickinson County students will accept diplomas later this month at commencement ceremonies throughout the Lakes area.

Graettinger/Terril kicks off the graduation events with a 1 p.m. ceremony on Sunday, May 17. H-LP's event begins shortly after at 2 p.m. on May 17.

Okoboji and Spirit Lake graduate their seniors during Memorial Day weekend. Spirit Lake's commencement is planned for 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 24, and Okoboji's graduation is scheduled for 3 p.m. on May 24.


School District: Graettinger/Terril

Graduation time & date: 1 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at the Graettinger High School Gym

Baccalaureate: 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 at Bethel Lutheran Church

Number of seniors: 33

Class flower: white rose, dipped in orange with silver sparkles
