The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire boys and girls hoops teams split a doubleheader with Alta-Aurelia on Tuesday. While the boys won 73-50, the girls fell 54-31 on the road. In the boys' contest, the Titans jumped out to a 14-5 lead after one and led 29-18 at the half. GT/RA continued to push the pace in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 22-13 to take a 51-31 lead into the final stanza, where they salted away the victory with a 22-19 score...

Hiccups in the first and third quarters were the difference Tuesday night, as the Okoboji boys basketball team fell to Siouxland Conference foe Sheldon 64-52 at home. "Sheldon is a really hard team to defend because they have guys that can drive it, guards that can shoot it and very skilled post players," Okoboji coach Ryan Paulsen said "I thought our kids executed our scheme about as well as we could. The Okoboji wrestling team dropped a pair of duals at a triangular hosted by MOC-Floyd Valley on Thursday. The Pioneers fell 39-36 to Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley and 62-18 to the Dutch. Against the Nighthawks, Okoboji got a pair of wins from Matt Eckard and Riley Anderson. Eckard pinned Brandon Rau in 1 minute, 42 seconds at 160 pounds, and Anderson pinned Brandon Peet in 46 seconds at 182 pounds...

The Harris-Lake Park boys and girls basketball teams kept their winning streaks alive Tuesday night, as the squads swept Clay Central-Everly on the road. The boys won 75-50 and the girls won 54-41. In the boys' contest, the Wolves held a slim 13-10 lead after one quarter, but a 23-point explosion in the second quarter allowed the visitors to gain a 36-22 lead at the break. ...
