Heritage Square open house, bike contest planned (Local News ~ 07/30/15)
The Heritage Square Museum will hold an open house during the Lake Park Farmer Appreciation Days. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, locals can visit the depot museum, prairie house and the 1840s jail. The Heritage Square Museum is also playing host to a decoration contest for kids. Veterans selected to lead parade (Local News ~ 07/30/15)
The Lake Park Farmer Appreciation Days committee selected two military veterans to be grand marshals of the parade to take place Saturday, Aug. 1. Cecil Zahren fought in World War II and Ralph Lundquist served our country in Vietnam. They will be cheered with respect and enthusiasm in a parade that takes the place of one they earned when they returned home from their respective wars... -
Lake Park Farmer Appreciation Days adds new events (Local News ~ 07/30/15)
Heritage Square will be much busier this year during Lake Park Farmer Appreciation Days. On Saturday, Aug. 1, a flea market atmosphere will exist, with vendors selling crafts and business products from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. At noon, the Lake Park Fire Department personnel will be grilling burgers and brats in the Heritage Square area next to the vendors. They will also have their equipment on display. The museum will be open for touring from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m...
