    A wondrous pig and an intelligent spider are the focus of Okoboji High School's annual spring play in "Charlotte's Web" April 11-12. Written by E.B. White in 1952, mysterious words keep appearing in a web (Charlotte) and a young little pig (Wilbur) becomes famous as two creatures form an inspiring bond. It's a story familiar with generations and generations of families and is quite the contrast from last year's play "The Pride and Prejudice."...

    The Spirit Lake Park-Okoboji boys soccer team split two games at a tournament in Ames over the weekend, as the Indians fell 1-0 to No. 13-ranked Cedar Rapids-Prairie before besting Grinnel 2-1. "I am very proud of all 25 guys, as we have worked very hard in the preseason to be physically fit to play two games back to back with little to no drop off in our talent that is on the field at any one point in time," SLP-O coach Royce Van Roekel said. ...
