Among other things that showcase his tireless dedication to his family and country, my grandpa, like so many other grandpas in the area, is a World War II veteran. Not too long ago, he got the opportunity to take a trip with my grandma, my mother and my two uncles to the monument dedicated to he and his fellow service men in Washington, D.C.
