Supervisors finalize Lower Gar agreement: Proposal to reach Milford City Council early next week

Plea entered in attempted murder case

A trial that was set to start Tuesday came to an abrupt end at the Dickinson County Courthouse after a Spirit Lake man entered a plea to lesser charges.
Jeffrey Wittler was accused of intentionally attempting to cause the death of his mother using a knife on June 1, according to court documents. Wittler entered pleas of "not guilty" to five charges on June 22.
