Some socially distant fun was on the Okoboji High School's schedule Wednesday. The district's homecoming coronation ceremony was held outdoors on the high school football field. Seniors Caleb Miller and Emma Larson were crowned the king and queen of the homecoming court. The coronation was followed by several games including a school wide game of Kahoot — an large-group trivia phone app — a football throw/kick contest and dizzy bat races.

The homecoming court indicated to announcers in the press box that the top scorer in the school-wide game of Kahoot! was homecoming king candidate Will Hoffman – who was randomly assigned the screenname "Social Yak." It was later indicated the court may have in fact been in kahoots and helped submit answers to the trivia quiz on Hoffman's phone.

The homecoming court exercised their royal authority and added one last bracket to the dizzy bat races so they themselves could compete. Homecoming king candidate Brayden Robards (center) quickly overtook his courtly competitors.
